Yellow Jasper
Yellow Jasper is an opaque, microcrystalline variety of Quartz with large, grainy crystals rather than the fibrous layers of Chalcedony or Agate. It occurs in nodules or as fillings in fissures and may be found the world over. Its mustard, sandy or burnished yellow coloring is due to high iron content, and may contain other minerals or impurities that create rich patterns and veining. Yellow Jasper is also prominent in Poppy Jasper, Mookaite Jasper, and in many orbicular and multicolored Jaspers. [Simmons, 215][Eason, 97]
Yellow Jasper has the ability to neutralize radiation and other forms of environmental and electromagnetic pollution. It is a nurturing stone, helping to calm the nerves and emotions. Yellow Jasper aids disorders of the stomach and digestive system, helps to relieve bloating and is effective in the promotion of tissue regeneration.
Physically, Yellow Jasper can be used to help cleanse and detoxify the internal organs, including the liver, gall bladder and intestines. Yellow Jasper also helps to strengthen the immune system, relieve nausea and indigestion. Yellow Jasper can also be beneficial to work with if chronic back pain is an issue. As with all Jaspers, Yellow Jasper will also help to absorb pain.
Yellow Jasper is thought to clear the body of environmental toxins and impurities, and to build up a stable, long-term immune system. It aids digestion and problems of the stomach, and assists in proper functioning of the gall bladder, liver, pancreas, spleen and kidneys. It is also believed to soothe bloating, nausea, fat intolerance, and chronic indigestion. [Eason, 97][Lembo, 199][Hall, 157][Gienger, 53]
Jasper water is soothing for the digestive system, and is particularly useful as a gem elixir because it does not over stimulate the body. It may be made by the indirect method, or by letting the stone soak in demineralized water overnight. [Hall, 155][Megemont, 102]
Yellow Jasper may also be used in all animal healing. [Eason, 97]
