Ametrine
The name of this crystal relates to a merging of the words Amethyst and Citrine, as this stone is alike both, and embodies the vibration of both of these quartz crystals.
This crystal is usually transparent, and its color is an interesting mixture of the golden yellow color of Citrine blended with the lovely purple color of Amethyst Crystals.
Ametrine is a transparent crystals that is composed of silicon dioxide and is a member of the Quartz group of minerals. Ametrine appeared on the market in the early 1980s, and at first many had doubts about it being a natural quartz variety and not some fancy artificial product.
The only known and well confirmed location for ametrine is an area in Bolivia near the Brazilian border. There are similar specimens in India, and Brazil.
Ametrine crystals are made of alternating sectors of purple and yellow to an orange colour. Slabs cut perpendicular to the c axis of the crystal look a bit like a pinwheel with three sectors of purple and three sectors of yellow.
Ametrine strengthens the immune system and aids the autonomic nervous system. It heals physical, mental and emotional exhaustion. Alleviates allergies and digestive disorders. On a physical level, it will help in eliminating toxins from the body. It’s also believed to help with deafness, eye problems, and dementia.
