Lepidolite
Lepidolite beads are cut from an uncommon mica that has been inconsistently available in the mineral market. Also known as gem lepidolite, lavenderine, and lepidolite mica, this semiprecious gemstone is a by-product of mining lithium.
Unpolished lepidolite appears scaly, and its name derives from the Greek word lepidos, which translates to “scale.” The color in these semiprecious beads ranges from violet to pale pink or white (or, occasionally, gray or yellow). Lepidolite beads can contain black markings which further add to their visual appeal. Lepidolite rough is found in Zimbabwe, Sweden, Argentina, Canada (Quebec), Madagasgar, Russia, and the U.S.A. (California and Maine).
The color of Lepidolite may of course be Lilac, but it also occurs in other colors, including pink, purplish and lavender, all colors in the same range of hues.
Lilac Lepidolite is a variety of Lepidolite that is found in Zimbabwe in Africa. The pink, lavender and purple Lepidolite all have a similar energy to the lilac crystals.
One of the best mood stabilizers in the world of gemstones, the Lepidolite crystal contains a high amount of lithium, which is also used in anti-anxiety medication. It doesn’t require a prescription and side effects include a sense of calm and tranquility during times of stress and chaos.
Lepidolite clears electromagnetic pollution. Strengthens the immune system, soothes the nervous system and can be used to restructure DNA. Lepidolite relieves exhaustion and aids in the relief of tension and related disorders. It can relieve allergies and greatly help with epilepsy and Alzheimers.
It numbs sciatica and neuralgia, and overcomes joint problems. Lepidolite stabilises mood swings and is excellent for the menopause. It treats illnesses caused by “sick-building syndrome” or computer stress. Excellent for bipolar disorders, as it contains naturally occurring lithium.
This gemstone is purported to have a calming effect, relieve muscle pain, relax nerves, and connect the heart and crown to bring spiritual understanding of pain and suffering. Lepidolite is also said to help people meet the challenges of change in their lives!
